Finally, I got 2 days off from work and I'm afraid I have to spend these 2 days to clear my email account of spam. I initially thought that by not responding to them, it will automatically stop as it's just a matter of time. But a couple of hours ago, a check into my other email account proved me wrong. I've started receiving these spam emails again, with a vengeance, no doubt thanks to a particular person. People who have been following my posts will know who I am talking about without having me explain it in detail here. Besides, whatever posted here will get picked up by Google syndication and might pop up on the Internet if you try googling my username, so I'll leave it at that. If all else fails, I'm afraid I have to ask for a change of username in my email address.

The reason why I have to take such drastic measures? A couple of years ago, I took part in a joint-cinema write-in competition and I actually won the first prize. The bad part? My email account was jammed with so much spam that I didn't realise I had received the email informing me of my win and hence forfeit my prize. That really pisses me off. And just a couple of hours back, I actually "accidentally" sent out a fax via email regarding a policy renewal and since I was anticipating an email reply, I have to clear off the spam emails by updating my blocked senders list, if not, I am definitely going to miss that email again!
