Plastic Surgery for Instant Popularity

Nowadays, the media, press, paparazzo and almost every human on this planet is so obsessed with looks over real natural talent. Remember Melinda Doolite on American Idol? She was eliminated not because she can't sing (she can sing damn well, I assure you!!) but because she wasn't drop-dead gorgeous. That is really bullshit. There's no point in supporting an idol if he or she can't hold a tune, no matter how beautiful he or she is. There is always so much emphasis on looks that even in sunny Singapore, a local "celebrity" has spawned so much nasty comments about her looks. She doesn't admit she had plastic surgery done to her face (namely eyes, nose and jawline) but yet she doesn't deny it either. My bestest suggestion is to come clean with it, in this way, people will admire you more for your courage to come clean and you might actually win over more new fans too. No one, including me, would show support to a person who is so shifty in her answers, let alone come clean with it. So, do everyone a favour, Dawn Yang, just tell the truth. Your past will catch up with you one day, sooner or later, and since it happens to be sooner, do something about it. I am definitely sick of opening up the newspaper and instead of reading the latest news, you and your much debated looks are hogging precious news line. As for her being rumored about plaigarising, I can't comment much as everyone out there plagarise at some point. But the trick to not make it seem too obvious is to either change the words to your own words so that it doesn't offend the original owner or if you're going to quote the whole thing, it is best to insert in a line that says "so-and-so words are copyright to whomsoever" or a simple "copyright of whomsoever" would be nice too. Besides, the only one reason I can't stand Dawn Yang's blog is the fact that when you go to her blog, the song/music auto-starts and I hated it. Let your visitors have the option of listening to your choice of music instead of forcing your genre of songs to them. Meanwhile, check out some of her 'Before Plastic Surgery' photos. She's doesn't look ugly (I was expecting her to look hideous pre-surgery though) and she sure has the face you would definitely forgot ever seeing before (the type that you see once or twice and yet still can't recall type of face). Here goes:

  1. she looks kinda sophisticated in the "after" pic. But honestly, I love the innocent "before" pic. well that's just my opinion.

i guess that's how it works with celebrities all over the world, they wouldn't admit nor deny, the more you talk about them the more mileage they get. That's how it works here in the Philippines too

  2. oh dear, but why deny it when it looks so obvious. I mean, if one looks different before and after, people will definitely notice. It's not wrong to want to look prettier, hence the plastic surgery issue. But still, it's like betraying everybody's trust when you flatly denied it when you look different from less than 8 years ago though.
