You can see all these people having a banquet dinner. Mind you, it's not free. You have to contribute a certain amount of ang-pow money and in return, you'll get to feast at the banquet dinner and take home at least a (water) pail worth of goodies like a sack of rice, cooking oil, biscuits, salt, canned products, sugar, noodles, etc.
The bidding/auction stage looks quite, um, sad, don't you think so? Anyway, this is the pre-Getai event, so don't expect much fanfare except for the yelling of bids ringing through the neighorhood.
The view of the bidding/auction venue from the corridor outside my flat. It used to be a green field where I used to go jogging in the morning and get chased by some wacko kitty. Now, the grass is gone and there goes a little part of Singapore's green "city"...
Ghosts nowadays are quite into fashion, it seems. Check this one out, she's wearing fashionable spectables with red hair. Actually, it's me after blowing my hair dry. I tend to sit in front of the electric fan and turn it up at full speed to get my hair dried quickly... Got you all, didn't I?
As usual, leave me comments on what you think. I would love to hear my readers thoughts, comments and opinions regarding to Singapore's Hungry Ghost Festival and all would be welcomed!!
