Late Night Supper

This was my late night supper a couple of hours ago. A couple of years back, there was this certain part of Zhenghua Town that was featured in the Straits Times newspaper as being the neigbourhood of hair styling salons. Yes, there are really many hair styling salons and the bad part? Their charges are really expensive even if you only went in for a simple haircut and my mother was mumbling and grumbling that she had to pay more than SGD30 for just a trim of her fringe when she only need to pay exactly the same amount (SGD30) for 2 person's worth of haircut, washing, blowing dry and perming back at where we used to live at Tiong Bahru. The pricing is really ridiculous if you ask me too! Then a few years after, there was a huge fire at the same Zhenghua town and close to half of the shophouses were gutted out but luckily no one was hurt. It was also reported in the newspaper too and I wasn't aware of it until my mother told me. Fast forward a few years later, there are some new shops opening there and one of them was this bread and bakery shop called Trademark Bread and that is where I bought my Mushroom and Chicken Bun and it cost SGD1.10. The bread items they sold at the shop are mostly creations that you wouldn't have been able to buy at Bread Talk and the prices are also reasonable too and the bread are really yummy. So, if you happen to be around Zhenghua town, do make a visit to that bread shop for the wonderful baked creations. Another thing worth mentioning is that further down, closer to the main road is this coffee shop called Kim San Leng. Inside this coffee shop is a stall selling economical rice, there's a lot of variety to choose from, the price for a 2 vegetable and 1 meat rice combo is reasonable and this stall is open 24/7 too. What a blast! At least I know where can I look for cheap economical rice if I am hungry in the middle of the night. Seriously folks, I've been living in this town for close to 15 years and there is nothing that I can complaint about this neighbourhood too. In fact, it's getting better compared to a few years ago so there it is, Woo Hoo~ ~ ~
