Girl On Girl

This is a reality show on Singapore TV where 6 different girls strive to compete against each other to win cold hard cash. Before it began showing, there were publicity trailers shown on TV in which it exists to pique the interests of viewers into watching when it is officially shown on air. Here's some of my gripes about it. There's this girl, June (aged 27 and currently a Assoc. Account Director) and initially, I thought I would definitely "hate" this character. Partly because of the fact that among all the other girls, she's the most chubby one I've seen on Tv so far. It doesn't help that publicity photos depict her as some fun-loving girl and worst, I don't really like the way she tried to looked coy in photos and how she shrieked like some underage adolescent girl when presented with a durian. It just looks really fake, like she's pretending to be girly just for the sake of the rest of the girls (who really did look bimbo-tic). No offense to BoBoBimBo, but BoBoBimBo, by other other names, is definitely no bimbo at all coz she's a real cool babe who knows what goes on around her. Back to Girl On Girl, I really, really thought that I would definitely "hate" June, until I saw another one contestant that you would really love to hate. Her name is Nicole, (aged 21 and currently a Video Artiste/Model) and on the show, she is constantly whining about how "the floor is dirty, the tyre is dirty and I am dirty" (when she had to change a tyre as a challenge) and how she "doesn't want to spoil her nails" (when opening a durian as another challenge). And here I was thinking, what the hell is she doing there whining so much when there is so much money to be won. Just get over it, win the cash and worry about dirty floors, taking a rewarding shower and get your nails done properly again after the show is over. It seems like staying clean and not spoiling nails is more important to winning cold hard cash...
