Before I officially start work, there are some staff manual I have to read through. Namely:
1. Store Sales Operations Manual
2. Store Sales Merchandising Manual: The Technicals
3. Store Sales Merchandising: Visual Merchandising
and lastly 4. Procedures For Customer Orders.
The difference between Page One and Books Kinokuniya is the fact that at Page One, there is no work rivalry and everyone is equal. Unlike back at my Books Kino days, you hang around with the cashiers if you are a cashier and if you are a merchandiser, you should hang around with other merchandisers. The management at Books Kino are really good at 'sowing discord' among their staffs, and there is no equality. Whatever the merchandisers can do, the cashiers can't. Like example, the merchandiser can bring a water bottle to the counter but the cashier staffs are not allowed due to the sole reason that cashiers are at the front line. But what I don't really understand is the fact that some stupid crap (who used to be in charge of the english magazines but now currently in charge of the cashiers) complain to the higher management that cashiers are always taking their own sweet time whenever they go to the restroom or take a sip of water. The only way to solve this problem is to let the cashiers bring their drinking bottles to the counter, but still the management refused due to the stupid fact that cashiers are at the front line. What a damn stupid reason they can offer! Enough to say, the management at Books Kino are really a biase bunch of people!!
