CNY Shopping: Part IV

Chinatown Sightseeing

While I was taking a shot of this shop, I saw 3 Japanese tourists gesturing and whispering to each other excitedly. No idea what they were excited about, but I figured it must have been the decor. And seriously, I have no idea what this shop sells either as this is the first time I'm seeing it over at Chinatown.

Chinatown Sightseeing

Red and gold, the main staple colors during Lunar Chinese New Year. Also good and prosperous colors during CNY season. The superstitious (read: pantang) ones would buy red underwear to wear during CNY season to attract good luck and while gold color denotes money. With so much bling going on at Chinatown, I hereby wishes all my readers, be it whether you are Chinese or not or whether you'll be visiting Singapore during CNY season, a prosperous and lucky Chinese New Year. So, keep wearing that red underwear and scatter yer gold dust for prosperity, ya'hear?
