CNY Shopping: Part I

CNY Shopping

You can't miss this stall(s) during CNY shopping, especially in supermarkets and over at Chinatown. Yup, my "not-so-preferred" waxed meat, sausages, ducks...

CNY Shopping

Candies, who doesn't love them? Just a gentle reminder to foreign visitors who planned to buy candies and such during pre-CNY festive season, try waiting until Chinese New Year eve and the prices for the candies will drop very tremendously and it'll get so ridiculously cheap that the person manning the candy stall would say: "Hurry! Hurry! Pay what you grab!" In other words, he or she will give you a plastic carrier and charge you a flat cheap price of, say SGD2.00, and whatever the amount you can squueze into that small flimsy plastic carrier, it'll be yours at the SGD2.00 price he or she promised you. So, any takers yet?
