Everytime I listen to Rihanna's Pon De Replay, I always recalled this funny incident back when I was still taking a straight bus home. My iPod was playing ihanna's Pon De Replay and it happened that these 3 Mats (Malay Ah Bengs) were in the queue before me. Suddenly, one of them started singing Rihanna's song and it went something like:
Mat 1: Hey Mr DJ, some pon de replay...
Mat 2 & 3: (They were talking between themselves, oblivious to the first one's singing)
Mat 1: Hey Mr DJ, some pon de replay...
Mat 2 & 3: (They suddenly turned towards Mat 1 and talked to him)
Mat 1: Hey Mr DJ, some pon de replay...
Mat 2 & 3: Oi! Nothing else to sing ah? Bee-sing lah!! (Bee-sing means noisy in Malay language)
Mat 1: Hey Mr DJ, some pon de replay... replay... replay...
And so, their entire conversation took place with Mat 2 & 3 talking between themselves while Mat 1 kept repeating that same line over and over again. Kinda hilarious when I think about it. And you haven't seen Mat Sallehs trying to hail taxis before. (Different Mats this time round!!)
Mat 1: Oi Taxi!
Mat 2: (Furiously flagging both his arms like mad)
Mat 1: Aargghhh! TAXI!!! TAXI!!! (started to jump up and down like a crazy monkey)
Mat 2: (Also join in the jumping and screaming for taxis...)
Yup, if you guys ever come to Singapore for holidays, try and hang around the disco places like St. James Power Station and Ministry Of Sound. You'll see their anxious antics to hail a cab!!
