It was the glutinuous rice balls fault!!

glutinuous rice balls

First, cook your glutinuous rice balls and serve them in bowls.

Find a toothpick/skewer, poke into glutinuous rice balls and drain/drip off excess liquid.

Dip glutinuous rice balls in powdered peanut.

Totally coat glutinuous rice balls in powdered peanut and eat.

And apparently, I gorged on way too much of these rice balls and my stomach couldn't handle too much. So, I promptly threw up once at 5:30am in the morning, second time at 10:19am, a third time at 3:06pm. And before I went off to see a doctor, I thought I would make myself some hot green tea. Alas, it was a bad idea I had in mind. As soon as I came back from the doctor, I threw up, for the fourth time, the green tea that was consumed earlier and promptly got sent off to the hospital the next afternoon...

Dang those glutinuous rice balls...

P/S; But thanks to the rice balls, I lost close to 5kg though and so do remember to click on the lion to make it roar under Fortune Cookies. Thank you all for worrying and your concerns are really greatly appreciated!!

  1. I haven't tried this one, we do not have this in our country. But we have something somewhat close to it; we also cook the glutinous rice balls and then flatten them and dip them in grated coconut (uncooked) then sprinkle them with sugar and sesame seeds. We call it "palitaw" which means "floaters" because the rice balls will float when they are cooked.

So you spend the first day of 2009 in the hospital because of overeating this stuff :)
