Scavenger Hunt Sunday

It feels retro to look back on photos when I was still young and as a kid. Many of them featured my late-grandfather whom I adore and love, still to this day. He's like the sunshine in my life, always there for me when I feel low and down and in the dumps. Just keeping them to myself seems unfair in a sense that no one else knows about my wonderful late-grandfather. Here's a Scavenger Hunt Sunday blog meme to relive those days.

1. Going Back in Time

Hard to imagine that was me as a little baby once. Even the newspapers of the 1980s are so much more different than the newspapers of now. As usual, babies are always tightly wrapped up to look like mini-burritos.

2. Something Just for Me

Not sure who's birthday we were actually celebrating back then, but no doubt, I must at least try to grab a fist-ful of cake to "commemorate" that happy occasion. That's my eldest cousin giving me "bunny ears" with his fingers and my mother holding on to me before "finger-ful" actually turns into "fist-ful" there.

3. Best Part of my Day

Back in the 1980s, life was much more simpler and everyone lived happily. There's no such thing as "branded goods" or the likes to tempt us. My grandfather is in the background watching me play.

4. Night & Day

Obviously, holding onto a little umbrella in the house prevents me from over-tanning myself by the flourescent light. There's my grandfather in the background as well, that's where I used to live when I was still young before I officially start schooling.

5. Look Up

I'm positively sure this was taken in the night-time. Looking so smug and happy after enjoying a slice of bread with Nutella spread. I still somehow recalled being unable to sleep that night as it was my first taste of chocolate spread on a bread.

  2. Thank you. I have been uploading these old photos from our home album to my thumb-drive and they have been sitting in it for years already. Finally, a chance to get to let them see the "light" lol XD
