Scheiße TNP Auction!!

Just a note, you'll have to click on the images to see a bigger version of the file!!

Anyway, to cut the long story short, The New Paper are giving away TNP$ and readers can collect as many as they can to bid for the items they like in the category.

But when I went online to check the current bidding amount, I saw a bid of TNP$200,000 for the Fujifilm Digital Camera that I am eyeing for. I mean, from the way TNP "broadcast" the bidding amount, they are giving readers the impression that the current highest solo bid amount for the camera is actually TNP$200,00 and who the hell would buy so much newspapers for that, right? If the TNP$100 and TNP$150 vouchers are printed alternately once or twice every week and daily TNP$50, you'll have to spend an even bigger amount just to accumulate the TNP$ vouchers when you can buy the real thing for less.

TNPAuction003
Now, imagine my utter shock and disgust when TNP published the winning bids of the items that are put up for bidding. In this 3rd image, you'll see the box in which I underlined the words "who won a Fujifilm Digital Camera with just TNP$6,450". Shouldn't TNP have more transparency on the website and upload the correct current highest bid amount instead of the overall amount?

Here's a link to the incorrect website: http://creative.asiaone.com/2009/IA/tnpdollars_IA090416/s1.html.

You can see on the site itself TNP had clearly stated that the Highest Bid for the Fijifilm Digital Camera was $200,000 as of 05 May 2009. See it? "Highest Bid", which in this case means that someone or maybe "something" had bid the camera for the whopping amount of $200,000. But in the newspaper, it was a different amount! What kind of fucked-up nonsense are they trying to do here? First, shitty people at TNP cannot write proper news reports, now even the webmaster of their online site can't even update a freaking bid amount correctly? Why not give their jobs to me instead? I'm sure I can do a much much much much (10000x) more better job that those fuckers they hired!!

Although I admit I am a sore loser sometimes, but this time round, it seems that TNP is indirectly cheating their readers with wrong information on their site. Come one, a primary school student can even have his or her own online blog shop without any prior training on how to do business, much less business accounting and yet can still make a good few hundred dollars per month. So, how is it that TNP, a shitty, stupid, fucked-up, incorrect newspaper under Singapore Press Holdings can make such a fucking idiotic blunder on the topic of "Bidding Amount" information when it is so clearly black and white in front of their eyes? Or maybe, they were not born with brains in the first place, that's why they are so fucking stupid?

And the way TNP should make up to me, for being their fucking loyal reader for my entire fucking 20 years of life, should compensate me by giving me a Fujifilm Digital Camera and I shall give them whatever available TNP$ vouchers I have with me. And I dare assure you that I definitely have a little more than the TNP$6,450. In fact, I have the amount of TNP$6,550 with me now. Fuck it!!

P/S: By the way, Scheiße is German for "F*ck" since my blog post is not showing up on Ping.sg, I had to change it to another language!!

  1. I think if you read, they said that there were numerous cameras available. That being said, since this is a "private" auction, they would not necessarily tell you the lowest prices just the highest.

If you were to put yourself in TNP's shoes, what would you do? I don't think you would tell everyone what the lowest winning bid was. It's just for the fun of it. They would only tell the highest bids just to put people off. C'mon some people bid 3 million for items and they don't complain because someone got the same prize for much lower. It's just smart and lucky bidding.

This being said, those that win are those that were willing to take risks and unfortunately, you were not one of them.

Instead of blaming others, just look at yourself. You were not willing to take risks.

In life, people who take risks are people who eventually lose more than people who don't take risks but in the process win more than people who take risks.

Believe me, I was very dissapointed at first but when I thought about it, I didn't even try. Perhaps if I did I might have won something but that was not the case.

I think that you have to learn to stop blaming others and also LEARN TO TAKE RISKS...

I've been there before and I'm telling you, you have to change. You are on a road that leads to nothing but loneliness and nothingness. I found that out and manage to change in the nick of time. I just hope it's not too late for you.
