New Dining Table!!!

The previous wooden dining table was busted, the legs gave way, the surface wasn't smooth at all and the chairs are also choosing to give way when we sat on it. So, we got a new dining table and everyone fawn and fuss over it as much as we could, until we lose interest in the dining table and focused on something else to fuss over with. Anyway, my brother (in blue T-shirt) is posing next to the table with his arms folded.

Melvyn of LGF Behind Bars!?

Well, not really in this case. He was trying to impersonate Eminem/Slim Shady and I happened to have the "border" ready on my camera phone. So, I called out to Melyvn and he posed for the camera. Anyway, he liked it so much that he wants this photo to be sent to his mobile phone via Bluetooth. You can also check out Melvyn's LGF blog too.

Supplier Names...

Which supplier would name their company or themselves PMS? I mean, if you see it this way, it would have meant or read "Pre-Menstrual Syndrome Publishing". They only publish books based on their female employees moods...

"Blog" Babe Of the Year

Isn't she a darling? She's beautiful, have the most peaceful looking eyes that twinkle, a small little mouth, doesn't spew profanities and she definitely can melt and break lots of hearts. Okay, to be honest, I don't really know this baby and her mother. It just so happened that I was sitting behind them, looked up, and saw this beautiful baby sleeping like an angel, but with her eyebrows and mouth creased slightly. If only babies never grew up, you'll have an angel in your arms forever, isn't it?

Going To Sentosa?

I saw this train going to Sentosa while on my smoking break and couldn't resist snapping this photo. Back in the old days, you can only reach Sentosa by either ferry or cable car. Then suddenly, the bridge was up and you have an alternative route to reach Sentosa. But now, nobody takes the ferry to Sentosa anymore and whatmore the Integrated Resort is being built on the plot of land which occupies the original Sentosa Ferry Terminal. So, the ferry had to go, one way or another. But still, the ferry ride to Sentosa really brings back lots of fond memories for me as I remember going to Sentosa with my parents by ferry as the cable car ride was really damn expensive in the 80s for a low-income family. But at least I was glad that I managed to take the ferry ride to Sentosa just a couple of years back during a chalet outing with a few of my closest friends at Books K. (Well, I took the ferry and the rest of them came by the Sentosa bus...)

Christmas Log Cake

Christmas Log Cake by McGraw Hill, looks yummy. I remembered less than 2 years back, I got to eat Christmas log cake and it was hard as stone. And this year, I got to eat Christmas log cake, but it was so soft and lumpy by the time I finished work that I was rather put-off...

Another Christmas log cake, presumably by my Store Manager, I suppose??

Singapore Press Holdings Spelling Mistake

In that paricular text circled in red, it says, "This was an air-con bus and passengers had to breathing in all this dust, which is a health hazard." In my opinion, it should read, "This is an air-con bus and passengers had to breath in all this dust, which poses a health hazard." Singapore media definitely SUCKS big time, when it comes to reporting news whether it's on newspapers or online and they are notorious for reporting news wrongly without checking it out first!!

Glutinous Rice Ball

Chinese Winter Solstic season, all chinese families would cook glutinous rice balls and eat it. Commercial rice balls include peanut and sesame fillings, but my mother decided to make it by hand as she felt that commercial rice balls are too sweet to eat. Anyway, if you are 20 years old this year, you are supposed to eat 20 glutinous rice balls, in correspondence to your age. But hell, I definitely ate more than 25 rice balls in total.

The Geek Ultimatum

Well, finally, nobody could stand Mr Matt "Voyeur" Damon and someone decided to put a white box over his head to cover up his face. Just in case, anyone gets a big shock and fainted, I presume...

Taufiq did the eyes, Jeremy did the teeth and I contributed to the nose, for Matt "Voyuer" Damon to breathe.

The Bourne Ultimatum

This huge standee was placed somewhere close to one of our staff entrance door. And whenever someone opened the door to get to the office, that person will definitely get a shocked in a sense that who in the hell is standing there looking at me. I was just simply left speechless when I opened the door...

Smoking Buddy

My smoking buddy, Mark, who happened to look so stoned that he realised too late that I have snapped a picture of him in his "Blur-Stoned" moments.

KFC = Kanninah Fucking Chicken

Proof that this pay-slip belongs to KFC, and not any other fast food restaurant in Singapore. In Singapore, payslips or pay advice are mostly handed from managers to staffs, seldom or never from managers to staffs, and then to staffs.

The inside page of the payslip upon opening it. Can see that if you offend a manager at work, this is the kind of shit they will do "anonymously" to get back at you. And to think that the person who did this is a manager, and a childish one too! I snapped this photo and send it out as email to STOMP, OMY and many other online newspaper sites to try and shame KFC whereas my father took this payslip and went to their Head Office and gave the HR people a good piece of his mind. We know who did this, but we don't have the evidence to prove that he's the one. So, I am taking it one step further by putting it up on my blog to show that KFC SUCKS!! If you ever encountered this kind of shit before, regardless of which country you are in, you are definitely welcome to send in similar picture attachments with a solid description of what happened by e-mailing me.

Panda Eye Bags

Who needs make-up when you have naturally dark eye bags?? Seriously, I didn't realise I have dark eye patches until I snapped this photo...

Seashell Belgian Trefian Chocolates

It tasted okay to me. I'm not really a big fan of white or semi-white chocolates, I prefer them dark and bitter... The bitter the better!

Ankle Warmer, Ankle Accesory

Well, if people could come up with hand guards for motorcyles, rollerblading, skate-boarding and stuffs like that. Then, why is it that nobody came up with ankle guards as fashion accesories at all?

Chong Pang Hawker Centre Toilet

I was definitely amused when I was about to step into the toilet after having lunch there. Initially, I thought I was either seeing things or I needed new spectacles. But upon careful obervation, I realised that this female figure on the toilet sign was supposedly sitting on the toilet bowl doing her business but with her hair standing up, like as if she had seen a ghost while in the midst of her business.

Agonizing Over the iPod

Here's my mother trying to "decipher" the chinese characters on the CD. I do the typing of the Chinese characters, uploading into the iPod while my mother do the job of wondering how to spell that particular chinese character and all my father does is to listen to the songs that are uploaded into his iPod. Sounds unfair, right?

"Branded" Chocolates

The chocolates on the left contains cherry in brandy. The Liqueur Chocolates on the top right is flavoured with Irish Whiskey Cream Liqueur Spirit and can be bought at Candy Empire at Vivo City Singapore. The Hershey's Pot Of Gold was bought at NTCU Fairprice and was initially chosen by my father, but because he claimed that he doesn't have any teeth to bite, I grabbed the Praline version instead...

Changi Airport Freebies

Well, it started out with the teenagers at the Visa S$2.5m Sure-Win Jackpot which was organised by Changi Airport Singapore coming over to Pacific Coffee to buy drinks initially. Before long, I realised that they were actually students working part-time and money was really hard to earned, especially for students who are working during school holidays. Every night, we had to mark down the total food wastage and threw them away. But then sometimes, we would actually take some some of the food to eat, partly to save a little money. Soon, I gave them some of the pastries and occasionally there would be sandwiches and paninis which I would toast it, pack it and gave it to them. I mean, it's still food and it is definitely a waste to just throw food away when it could still be eaten. And in appreciation, they gave us toiletries and teddy bears in return. So, the giving and sharing started from there. Anyway, I told them that if they see me on shift at night (read: graveyard shift) they can just pop over and get drinks if they are feeling thirsty.

L'occitane En Provence Toiletries, includes a transparent lime green pouch. There's a Mint Pine Rosemary Shower Gel, Lavender Tea Tree Geranium Body Lotion, Shampoo with Essential Oil for normal and fine hair and a Shea Butter Milk Soap. I know, they sound really delicious to eat just by the names.

Crabtree & Evelytn Toiletries, that comes in a box with a navy blue ribbon. There's a La Source Conditioning Shampoo, Conditioner, Relaxing Body Wash, Relaxing Body Lotion and a Moisturising Soap with Shea Butter. Just by opening up the box, you'll be greeted by this wonderful scent, and you'll be mistaken that you're in heaven. Really, smells nice. And that is how I got hooked to nice-smelling shower gels and soaps, they smell nice. And after using it, you'll feel nice and wonderful too.

Limited Edition Changi Airport Singapore Teddy Bears. Well, it's Limited Edition so I am definitely keeping mine for sure. It comes in only white and brown color. The nice teenagers at the Visa booth gave me and my manager each a set of toiletries and a teddy bear and I shamelessly went back a few nights later to ask for the other color so that it looks complete. I do really miss them, they are really nice and sweet and totally different from the other noisy teenagers I saw on the streets.

Aromatheraphy & Fragrance Oil

I bought this Aroma Pot and tea candles at Daiso, Vivo City, Singapore for SGD 2.00 each. Considered this purchase a steal, but Daiso's became my favorite place to hang out with my friends.

Fragrance Oil that costs SGD2.00 at Daiso, Vivo City, Singapore.

This fragrance oil is called Yume, meaning Dreams and it is supposed to evoke the feelings of peace, calm and dreams. It really has a nice scent to it and there are other series of Fragrance Oil selling at Daiso, Vivo City. I suppose I will be going back to buy more of the other fragrance oils at the end of this month. I had wanted to buy an aroma pot a few years back and back then I didn't knew there were Daiso chain shops in Singapore and the ones I saw at The Body Shop were quite expensive. The aroma pot costs close to SGD20.00 and the fragrance oil is even more expensive than the aroma pot and I kinda waited around until I went to Daiso and encountered the SGD2.00 aroma pot and fragrance oil. Sorry, Body Shop but Daiso is more cheaper and has more variety than you...

Page One 1st Anniversary

Exclusive Page One bookmarks with chains on the top, really stylish that every staff whom I saw that day took one to use.

Exclusive Page One stickers which every staff was required to paste onto their uniforms to "promote" the event. Ended up, I sticked it onto Kah Wee's (Page One ChewBacca) shirt instead.

Wakilala Product

The tube on the left is Wakilala Wash Peeling Scrub which is an exfoliating and whitening product specially formulated for use on underarms (read: armpits). Products disinfects, whitens & removes underarms dark patches and marks. User experiences a cooling refreshing sensation after application. The bottle on the right is Wakilala Clear Essence which is a Daily fast, whitening and toning product for use on underarms. Product tightens pores & removes grime on underarms. Cooling sensation after application provides a refreshing effect. Help to reduce sweat & prevent smell from underarms.

The reason why I bought this product is because of this incident I encountered at my previous workplace at Pacific Coffee, Vivo City. Azahar was at the counter taking orders and I was the barista doing the drinks. While he was taking orders from these two customers (2 Malay-Muslim girls), I noticed that the plump Malay-Muslim girl (she was wearing a sleeveless top) raised up her arms and began scratching her armpits like there was no tomorrow. And worst of all, right after scratching her armpits, she quickly brought her fingers (the fingers which was scratching the armpits) to her face and scratched her face before finally resting those fingers on her friend's hair. By the way, her armpits were so black I felt revolted enough to run off for a cigarette break. I know my underarms were not that bad and not that smelly either, but it was enough reason for me to run out and buy this product as a safety precaution. Urggh!!

Apple Cone Incense

Apple Incense Cones bought from Daiso Always $2 at Vivo City, Singapore. This box of cone incense costs only SGD2, contains 35 pieces of cone incense and it really smells like apple.

Cotton Wool as Snow

Looks like my mother has been playing with the cotton wool that doubled up as snow at NTUC Fairprice...

And then suddenly, the snow became a bunny's tail??

Finally, mysteriously going back to the top of my mother's head once again, where it decided the view would be much nicer..

Banquet Galore

Mediterranean Spaghetti for me, as I am a huge fan of spaghetti. But then, the owner of the stall must have been anxious to open up a spaghetti stall in Vivo City's Banquet that this spaghetti was misspelled as Mediferranean instead...

Chicken Rice, the usual for Siti H. who was hanging around with me at Vivo City on our off-days. She had wanted to go to Vivo City for some shopping for her mother's birthday. We ended up going to Candy Empire, Daiso and the Sky Park/Ampitheatre where we soak our legs in the knee-high pool. Tourists who are coming to Singapore shouldn't give Vivo City a miss as you can sit by the pool and soak your legs while enjoying a chat.

Mini Toons Gummies

Gummies from Mini Toons are my mother's favorite snacks. Less than 1 week after my mother bought these gummies, she commented that the gummies were getting lesser and lesser. Since she doesn't eat much everyday (it's an occassional snack), I am working and my brother is in school, we finally deduced that my father was the culprit in the disappearance of the gummies. Besides, he complained that he doesn't "have teeth to bite", it has to be him who had been eating the gummies at an alarming state. It's soft and chewy, and nobody in my family like sweets and candy tidbits that are hard like rock...

O2 Skin Products

Nice paper carriers, but expensive to buy from...

Neroli Firming Moisturising Cleansing Foam. Well, so far, my skin seemed to get used to this cleansing foam. Apparently, the rich foam effectively removes dirt, excessive sebum and makeup. It aids in regeneration of new cells and prevents wrinkles so that skin feels clearer and firmer. I tricked my mother into going into this shop to browse around as I don't feel like going home yet, but ended up, my mother bought 2 products from this shop and along the way, got a free membership for purchasing above SGD50...

Red Wine Whitening And Firming Cream (Normal-Dry Skin). This controls generation of melanin and promotes collagen production to regenerate skin's cells. It enhances the skin's constitution to a healthy state so as to allow the whitening process to progress smoothly and speedily. Well, it sure sounds good. But the thing is that, I am allergic to alcohol and alcoholic contents and this product only serves to make me look as if I had run into the wall many times as it made my face looks red and flushed...

All Leah Dizon's Fans, Please Read!!

If you have an account on MySpace, especially just to add jap musicians as friends, please read this!!

Please take note!!
Leah Dizon's real myspace URL is: www.myspace.com/leah_dezon

There is an imposter pretendind to be Leah Dizon by the url of : www.myspace.com/anwar_razak

and please also note that Leah Dizon is born in Las Vegas, Nevada before relocating to Japan to pursue her career. Leah Dizon was not born in Japan, neither is she a model in Japan and Las Vegas anymore but a pop star in Japan and it is totally impossible that she would want to know more about Malaysia, unless she plan to stage a concert in S.E.Asia with is almost near impossible as pop stars from Japan wouldn't go to countries like Singapore, Malaysia or Indonesia to stage concerts either. Also do take note that when Leah Dizon made her debut in Japan, her myspace profile was also mentioned and that photos of her during her modelling days should also be mentioned too. If you or your friends are "friends" with Leah Dizon on myspace, please see the above URLs for yourselves to decide which is the real or fake Leah Dizon. No, I am not dissing her off or anything of that sort as I myself really like her music and felt that she is a rocking artiste.. But you are all doing a disservice to the original Leah Dizon by befriending an imposter. Please do help to spread this message to all your friends and help to report abuse/imposter profile of URL: www.myspace.com/anwar_razak .

Posing On The Escalator

My mother, posing on the escalator after some grocery shopping. Who says you can only pose on a red carpet in Hollywood? You can do it in heartland malls too, you know??

Singapore's Mdm Liberty

Well, here it is. Presenting Singapore's version of The Statue Of Liberty, aptly re-named, The Statue Under The Electric Fan, my mother. I'm sure everyone knew that if you keep your plastic containers stashed away too long, there will be this funny smell lingering in the containers. My mother claimed that if you either wipe the container with a cloth or, as this photo shows, let the wind circulate the insides of the box, the smell will go away. By the way, no washing is needed in this "experiment"...

Lor Mee

A bowl of Lor Mee, by any other name, tastes just as wonderful. A little history of the noodle stall where this bowl of lor mee (stew noodles) came from: This stall actually changed ownerships for a record of 12 years and each owner/cook was just as bad as the previous one that left. The very first one had a tendency of cooking your spouse's or family or friends favourite noodle and served it up to your face, leaving you wondering if it was you or someone else who had ordered that bowl of noodles. And when the owner/cook is confronted, he'll claim that your spouse or family or friend likes to eat this particular bowl of noodle, so he cooked it... And the last one that left had a bad habit of not tasting the soup, curry that she had cooked before selling. So, on many occassions, her prawn noodle soup is either extra salty or extra bland. It was so bad that I only ate from this noodle stall twice before I totally lost faith. But the current owner/cook is really marvellous. The prawn noodle soup is just right, not too salty nor bland, the laksa gravy is the right taste, not of the curry chicken type and most importantly, the lor mee. It's just heavenly, as it has really been more than 5 years since I had a chance to try the best tasting lor mee in my neighborhood. Sigh~ ~ ~

Guess Who?

My store manager hard at work wrapping up magazines in plastic bags, the manual way. Just right after I snapped this photo, he suddenly called me and asked me to do him a favour. And I was thinking, he can't possible have known that I snapped a photo of him and now decided to ask me to take a proper picture of him, right? Until he handed me a stack of plastic files and asked me to help him to bring it over to the stationary section... Phew~ ~ ~

Dry Spaghetti

Fried spaghetti, my style. Enough to say, that big bottle of spaghetti sauce which I bought has turned mouldy, with white spots which made the whole thing looked like art poster color. And I was so hungry for spaghetti, so went in the prawns, sliced onions with a generous sprinkling of black pepper and voila...

Amorito Eau De Toilette

Well, I don't really remember much about this perfume when I first saw it in The Body Shop last year and I don't really have much impression about it too. But today, I "dragged" my mother into the shop just to simply basked in the sweet smelling atmosphere of the shop when my mother was once again (actually, not the first time either..) fascinated by the perfumes. I think my mother really wanted to collect the entire collection of the perfumes available at The Body Shop and she nearly blindly bought some without even trying out and seeing how the scent is like. So, I grabbed a bottle (Amorito Eau De Toilette) and tested it and was really amazed to find out that it smelled like... chocolate!! Yummy... Imagine smelling chocolate everyday without either feeling guilty about putting on weight or over-indulge in eating the real thing...
