Halloween Fun...

Check out this website I've discovered while bumming around. This is a "new version" of bowling, where instead of pins, you bowl down the cats and instead of a bowling ball, you'll get a bowling pumpkin instead. URL: www.itsga.com/fun/cat_new.swf

Halloween Scare...

Last night, I was inside the toilet (my home, you see...) doing my business as usual (pee lor...) and then to my shock, a cockroach was attempting to crawl up my leg. Ewww!! I mean, of all the places, how and why did the cockroach get into the bathroom??? At that instant, I really feel like hacking off my feet and I couldn't sleep well last night. Just in case, the cockroach decides to crawl into my bedroom and torment me....

Happy Halloween...

Tidbits from Meiji, Japan

Fran Aromatier. On the left is Chocolate and Rum and Strawberry on the right. Costs close to SGD4.00. But I would say it is a good buy in the end, as food products from Japan tend to be more delicious, although expensive.

Dippy Choco flavour. Those kind of sticks which you can dip into either chocolate, strawberry or vanilla flavoured cream. Also another yummy item. I remember eating many of these when I was a kid, but it was another different brand. I can bet these are going to tastes better than the ones I used to eat when I was little.

Dippy Strawberry flavour. Enough said, check out the description above, from Dippy Choco flavour. I'm not into strawberry, but I would definitely hate myself if I don't get the strawberry flavour too.

There's this new shooping centre that opened recently at Chinatown area, close to Clarke Quay. At the basement of the shopping centre, there's this shop that actually sells imported tidbits flown straight from Japan. I would definitely have to check it out one day. This shop was featured in Straits Times previously, and the tidbits inside are really expensive. So, I guess I'll be saving money from this moment onwards to splurge on Japanese tidbit treats for the coming Christmas... Can't wait...

St James Power Station @ Night

A couple of days back, me and Mark went to the usual scenic spot for some cigarette and I asked him if this building is St James Power Station and the answer was affirmative. So there, a photo of St James Power Station at night-time. Doesn't it look more like a night spot now?? Apparently, Sylvester Sim from Singapore Idol performs there, at Dragonfly Bar, I think...

This is a fast snail!!

I went to McDonald's to buy some food late one night and encountered this snail climbing down a wall and when I was done at McDonald's and decided to head home, this little snail was already crawling on the ground. This sure is a fast snail I've seen so far. While I was squatting down beside it to snap this photo, it turned it's head completely and looked towards my direction. You can't really see it in this photo, but hey, this really is a fast-acting snail. Not unlike the ones I've seen at my primary school which takes forever to travel from one plant to another.

Discount Vouchers? What The @#&%!!

Yesterday, this stupid Singaporean man came up to my counter and enquire about the usage of discount voichers and whether he can use discount vouchers to get a discount. Anywau, this stupid ass never phrase his questions properly and instead told his daughter that I don't understand what is a discount voucher. From this ass point of enquiry, he seems to be asking if he can use a discount voucher to get further discounts on things he buy. Example would be that if a book is on 20% discount, he wants to know if he can use a discount voucher and get another 20% discount on top of the previous 20% discount that was already enttitled to the book he wanted. That was what he was trying to ask and so I asked him what kind of discount voucher is he talking about. He raised his voice slightly and proclaimed that he was asking about book voucher and I was explaining to him about discount vouchers and furthermore wanted to know if he can use discount voucher. So now, is this sucker trying to ask about discount voucher or book voucher or some alien voucher that only he himself has seen, used and received before? Seriously, do me (and maybe other retail personnels) a favour and don't come out of the house pretending to be an intelligent and knowledgeable person when you don't know what you are talking about in the first place!!

Page One

Mark from the Periodicals department (meaning magazines lar...). A very friendly person to talk to and crack jokes with, most magazine/Periodical staffs I used to work with are quite arrogant, mainly those from Books K. But the Periodicals staff at Page One are really friendly that you can't find fault with them, I wonder why?? Elfe's on holiday overseas and Desmond a.k.a "Madonna" is doing his reservist for 2 weeks and going for a holiday for another week. It is so quiet that I have no one to talk to at work...

St James Power Station

Actually, this is St James Power Station, right? I can actually see this building from my usual smoking corner, on the other side would have been Keppel/PSA shipyard. I'll try to take a photo of this building and the shipyard again sometime during late afternoon/early evening as the color of the sky is really beautiful and the places more intriguing.

Frying Bombay Toast...

My brother frying bombay toast. P/S: He sucks at cooking, some of the bombay toasts he made tasted awfully sweet while some are literally tasteless.... I guess the only thing he is good at cooking would be instant noodles.

Disgruntled SIA staff??

Yesterday while manning my cashier counter, I came across this SGD10 note in which somebody scribbled something on the back. Turns out it was some disgruntled Singaporean SIA staff, and a male one at that. The handwriting read: "SIA cabin crew MALE can only work until 45, FUCK PAP!!" Seriously, not only is it extreme but also a good method to let the whole country know you're disgruntled and yet still stay anonymous... By the way, I'm female so this note can't possibly be written by me cos I'm too short to work on a SIA airplane...

Smoker's View

A short smoker's "bird 's eye view" of the Keppel-PSA shipyard. It was unfair in a sense that not only was I short, the wall in front of me reached my nose and I had to tip-toed to take this photo. If I tried to get an unobstructed view, another wall would have blocked my view by half from the side instead. Really, Vivo (Maple Tree) management sure knows how to deprive its shoppers of quirky views of the surrounding area.

More Ops Colleagues

Ismail, the guy Ops goes to when a solution is needed. He is a really friendly and helpful senior among the so many numerous "seniors" I have met throughout my working life. Back in all my previous jobs, most seniors wouldn't even talk to a new staff, at least, for the first week. But Ismail is a really genuine person who cares and is friendly to everyone around him. I am really glad to have met such a nice person at work cos I felt that this type of encounter is those "once in a blue moon" type and must be treasured.

Windy, like her name suggests sure moved like the wind. She is also another pretty but shy girl working at my place. She's really quiet and also friendly as well. It took more than coaxing to get a decent photo out of her, and this was a surprise photo taken when she wasn't noticing.

For Smoker's Only

2 days back, I was on break and decided to pop out for some "fresh air" and a cigarette when I came across this funny little thing. Apparently, either the cleaner or the shopping centre management must have left it there for the smokers' to use instead of just throwing the cigarette butts on the floor. Really ingenious idea.

More Colleagues At Page One

Fu Nai was very "approachable" for this photo. I happened to have to go somewhere and while passing by the Customer Service counter, I quickly whipped out my camera phone and said: "Fu Nai, smile for my camera please.." and she obliged. Not much people are willing to smile for pictures anyway, and Fu Nai was one of the few who was game enough to do so, rock on Girl!!

Elfe, a pretty but photo-shy girl. When I first saw her, I was remarked at how she closely resembled one of my "ex-best friend", but they are not the same person though. But overall, Elfe has a very nice and plesant personality and she is also very friendly too.

No, Elfe and Kah Wee are not sourcing for pollen on the Internet. They were trying to locate a book titled "Enough Is Enough" which a customer had bought a little while ago. Kah Wee is quite the serious guy here, and according to him, he always get a heart attack from the Store Manager. Well, he do need to relax every once in a while though. Too much stress is not good for his health, and I am not his stalker...

Damn the Orange Juice!!

I've recently discovered that my immune system is allergic to Orange Juice. I really don't know why, but everytime I drink a cup of OJ, I start to retch and puke up my previous meal (breakfast, lunch or dinner) and it really sucks!! I like OJ for the citrusy taste but the citrus itself is making me suffer in many ways, like puking for instance. Now, I am coughing like some old hag, no thanks to that cup of OJ...
